Biography

Dimitra is an Architect and PhD student in the Department of Architecture at the University of Cambridge. In her PhD she studies energy use behaviour and thermal comfort practices in buildings focusing her research in the workplace environment. She is particularly interested in behavioural change through energy use feedback and its potential as an efficiency measure in an organisational setting. She follows a socio-technical research approach employing both qualitative and quantitative methods using insights from Social Practice Theory. Dimitra is also a member of the cross-disciplinary Parallel Forum for Sustainability and the Environment of the University of Cambridge and Uni-metrics, an international research platform on sustainable university campuses. Her supervisor is Dr. Minna Sunikka-Blank and her advisor Prof. Koen Steemers.
